This is the initial application form for those interested in leading and/or hosting a Small Group. It includes logistics about type of group, when you might meet, etc. It also includes an affirmation of your personal commitments to Jesus, and our church's Code of Honor, expected of all Small Group leaders.

SERVANT-LEADERSHIP CODE OF HONOR

As an essential part of the Princeton Church family, all leaders have a responsibility to develop and exhibit mature Christian behavior. This should be the basic premise of your desire to participate in any aspect of church leadership.

While serving the Body of Christ as a servant-leader at Princeton Church, you pledge to present a good appearance at all times. In both attire and behavior, you should strive to demonstrate a Biblical lifestyle in all situations.

As Christians, the way we present ourselves to others is of vital importance to the way others perceive Jesus. Our conduct should never be an embarrassment to Christ, but should exemplify the best qualities of a mature believer and servant-leader, striving to represent Jesus first, and also Princeton Church.

Exemplifying the highest moral commitment, Princeton Church leaders are to maintain a disciplined life of Bible reading, prayer, and fasting. You must also refrain from such things as:

• Profanity
• Smoking or chewing tobacco
• Gambling
• Dishonest gain
• Pornography
• Sexual immorality (sexual activity outside of heterosexual marriage)
• Any substance that hinders you from being of sober mind
• All behaviors which might cause Christ to grieve
• All behaviors which might cause others to stumble (1 Cor. 8:9)

By providing an example in both speech and action, we encourage others to grow in Christ and become servant-leaders themselves. This is a way of life measured by the heart and commitment to each leader in the Princeton Church family. We should regard it as an essential part of our development, not as an imposition or restriction. Our goal is to set the standard, to live above reproach (i.e. 1 Timothy 3:1-12).

and God’s purposes over possessions, positions, popularity, and pleasure.

To my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I say:
However, whenever, wherever, and whatever You ask me to do,
my answer in advance is “YES!”
Whenever You lead, and whatever the cost, I’m ready anytime, anywhere.
I want to be used by You in such a way that on that final day, I’ll hear You say,
“Well done, good and faithful servant. Come on in, and let the eternal party begin!”
